Heroines of Sound, Berlin July 2024

QME will perform at the femist festival Heroines of Sound this summer in Berlin.

Heroines of Sound Festival presents early and current hero*ines of electronic sound exploring uncharted musical territory and making important contributions to current aesthetic discourses. Feminist, diverse, and interdisciplinary, the festival supports the presence of women and non-binary – FLINTA* in the art and music worlds and,  and makes the connections between different genres tangible.Heroines of Sound has set itself the task of (re)discovering  FINTA* protagonists in music and increasing the public presence of their music. By making the often forgotten and underappreciated quality and diversity of FLINTA* artists in the field of electronic music visible and audible, Heroines of Sound opens up new perspectives for an analysis of historical and current strategies of feministic musical practice.  

Inquisitive, feminist, and controversial: all different and all equal, whether non-binary, female, or queer.
