whole body like a mouth is the second release by QME on the Farpoint Recordings label and the first of three new albums planned for 2024.

Silent stones; silent leaves; silent sticks; silent rain… these are sections from Michael Pisaro’s ‘one year (changes)’ - none of them silent, but all of them about the astonishing beauty of abstract sounds and the sense of immense focus that arises when they are brought together with love and

finesse.

The pieces in this release are exquisite examples of sound poised as if floating in a sea of silence, each piece shaping its own fascinating challenge for the musicians of QME. This music is restrained, intriguing, tiny and yet somehow world-spanning, and - above all - deeply moving in a very unexpected way…
